Prevent a victim of domestic violence with three kids from getting evicted

$50.00

This mom came into the Community Resource EnVision Center very distraught, fighting back tears. She is in danger of losing her housing and desperately needs rental assistance. She came in with a pledge sheet from Helping Hands Healing Hearts (HHHH), where she has already gotten pledges from HHHH and Salvation Army. She was headed to the Catholic church and is calling 211 for more long-term assistance. She is a victim of domestic violence who has needed to relocate for her and her children's safety. She was able to get into an off-grid cabin through a landlord who gave it to her in good faith back in September, with the promise that she would pay the deposit/rent within a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, she has gotten very behind due to her workplace reducing hours, now to only one day a week, due to seasonal slowness. She is a chef, and nearly got a job after an interview on Sunday working for a private company in Naples, but several days ago her ex-partner and her got into an altercation where he beat her up and broke her phone. She now has no way to know if she got that job. She is working with Priest River Ministries to get a new phone. She has 3 teenage children, has been putting in applications everywhere, and plans to come in and sign in with EQUUS to get to know their program and see if it can assist her with more long-term employment. She back-owes around $1,200. While her landlord has been accommodating, she is now asking for at least $400 as soon as possible, or else she will have to evict her. Any help is greatly appreciated!
