President and Founder
Danielle Swerin
Danielle Swerin, the President and Founder, established Love in Action Idaho after working as a case manager for domestic violence survivors. In that role, she witnessed significant gaps in the support systems available to individuals and families in crisis. Too often, people faced lengthy delays or strict eligibility criteria that left them without help when they needed it most. Danielle was inspired to create an organization that could mobilize assistance quickly, meeting urgent needs without red tape. Her vision for Love in Action Idaho is to operate as a vessel for community support, grounded in faith and a commitment to showing God’s love through tangible assistance.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University along with a Graduate Certificate in Victim Services. She worked as a Court Advocate and Domestic Violence Court Case Manager at the Women’s and Children’s Alliance as well as a Senior Research Analyst for Idaho State Police. She is co-editor of the textbook Victimology: Crime Victimization and Victim Services and the recipient of the Fox 9 Jefferson Award for Excellence in Community Service.
She grew up in Sandpoint and moved back in 2021 with her husband to start their family. In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, her two kids, her large extended family, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful place we call home.
