Mom, who is a full time CNA at a local retirement home, has had to stay home to be with her son and only received a $20 paycheck this month since she is paid by the hour. Her husband is a jack of all trades and cannot cover all of their costs this month. It has been a traumatic month for them and they are slowly getting back on their feet, but they do need help with some immediate bills, including:

This woman, age 83, has lived in Sagle for nearly 28 years. She recently experienced the devastating loss of her husband, who passed away in April. Since his passing, she has faced an overwhelming series of financial and personal hardships. Before her husband's death, he received approximately $2,000 per month in SSI, in addition to VA benefits. Those benefits stopped after his death. She has reapplied for the VA surviving-spouse benefits and for the SSI benefits her husband had been receiving. At this time, she is only receiving around $1,000 per month. With the loss of her husband's income and benefits, she has lost her vehicle and has now lost her home. After nearly three decades in the community she called home, she is being forced to leave Sagle and start over in a new state. She will be moving to Indiana, where she will temporarily live with her niece. Her nephew is coming to Idaho to help her make the move, and she needs to relocate by September 9, 2026. She has very limited resources and is trying to take what few belongings she can with her. Her immediate needs include approximately $500 for a rental truck to move her belongings and approximately $500 for a bed set so she will have a place to sleep when she arrives at her new home. Her church has already provided some financial assistance to help her through this difficult transition. She is also working to rehome her two cats as she prepares for the move. She has experienced an extraordinary amount of loss in a very short period of time. She has lost her husband, her financial security, her vehicle, and her home, and is now leaving the community where she has lived for nearly 30 years. At 83 years old, she is facing the difficult task of starting over in a new state while waiting to learn whether her VA and SSI benefits will be restored. A local man needs help maintaining reliable transportation so he can make progress towards regaining financial stability. He is currently facing a difficult transition after recently losing his job. He has been dealing with health-related challenges and has also been working through the disability and unemployment processes. His disability claim was denied, and his unemployment claim is currently pending. In the meantime, he is actively working with the Department of Labor to find employment and he is doing everything he can to become financially self-sufficient again. He recently had to replace his vehicle with another used car, which created additional expenses for registration, plates, tabs, and insurance. His vehicle is especially important right now because he needs dependable transportation to look for work, attend appointments, meet with the Department of Labor, and handle the day-to-day responsibilities necessary to get back on his feet. His most immediate need is automobile insurance. He has $132 due on his current Washington insurance policy by August 18, 2026, and the policy will be canceled if the payment is not made. He is also in the process of transitioning to an Idaho policy. The new Idaho policy requires a $250 payment to activate coverage and includes an SR-22 filing. He needs the SR-22 because he was pulled over in 2025 while driving without active auto insurance coverage.
