An elderly man was robbed and his phone was taken

This client is a older gentleman who was recently robbed. His cell phone was taken, and now he has no means of communication. While he has a host of other issues, now that he has no cell phone it has made it incredibly difficult for his Medicare representative to help with the other needs he has. She is trying to figure out how to get him a new phone and plan because he is on a very low, fixed income. It sounds like he will qualify for a Safelink Wireless free phone plan, he just needs help purchasing the phone. His Medicare representative is planning to go do a home visit on 9/19/25, and she really wants to be able to give him a means of communication at that time. We estimate the cost of the phone to be around $150-$200 based on what’s available on the Safelink website.
