This client is an elderly disabled woman who had to relocate to be closer to family, due to her increasing medical issues and risk of falling. She is a widow, and her daughter and granddaughters live close by. She came to the Community Resource EnVision Center with her care-provider and her service dog to ask about deposit assistance. She currently only receives survivor benefits through SSI, and it is her only fixed income. She has the opportunity to get into low-income affordable housing through Mt. Baldy Apartments, but Navigation is only able to help her with $534 of her $900 deposit to move in. She still needs $366. Any amount would greatly help her to have safe, suitable housing so she could be close to family, but not be a burden on them.
