Help an 83-year-old woman on a fixed income

$50.00
NEED MET

This 83 year old woman lives on a fixed income through Social Security, and although she lives in low-income, subsidized housing, and keeps her spending to a minimum (which was verified through her well-documented receipts and bills), she has had several recent large expenses that has caused her to go into credit card debt that she is struggling to keep up with. She had to have her brakes changed through Les Schwab, which was over $500, and had to have dental work done to be able to eat food properly, which was over $1,000, and it wasn't covered under her Medicare. So, she did her best to consolidate her debt and is paying it off every month, but things are so tight she hardly has money for groceries and gas. She goes to the food bank, doesn't have internet or streaming services, and has been sober for 30+ years. Her case manager is helping her get set up on a cheaper phone plan, apply for food stamps, and get connected with a Medicare/Medicaid specialist to help her be sustainable long-term. At this point though, even though she lives frugally, she has overdrawn her bank account and is desperately hoping to get it paid off so she doesn't lose her bank account. We’re hoping to help her with that and potentially some of her debt to help her get back on track.

You can donate $50 - $300 by adjusting the quantity.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
