This woman was born and raised in Sandpoint, but moved away as an adult. After her mother died of cancer, she began struggling heavily with addiction, and in her own words, "went off the deep end," even going to the point of using fentanyl. She has been in and out of prison since, struggling with addiction. She moved back to the area in August and, unfortunately, relapsed in November. She is now in drug court and is at the Sweet Magnolia house, which allowed her to enter without paying any fees upfront. She is determined to maintain her sobriety at this point and has a team holding her accountable, both at Sweet Magnolia's, drug court, and her family. Almost her whole family is here, and they are very supportive of her recovery. She realized that her self-isolation contributed to her inability to "get it together," a common consequence of addiction. Now that she's started attending church regularly and making God a priority, reconnecting with her family, and made the conscious decision to change her life, she feels like this is finally the first time that she can be successful. She is requesting a one-time help with her prorated February program fees at Sweet Magnolia so that she doesn't get behind and end up losing her place. She entered a week ago, and they prorated it to $410. She is connecting with multiple church partners to get pledges as well, so we’re hoping between all of us we’ll be able to cover the full amount. She is also actively searching for employment so she can move forward and adhere to all of her program requirements.
You can donate $40 - $400 by adjusting the quantity.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!
