A 91 year old Airforce WW2 combat veteran needs assistance with rent. He lives on a fixed income through social security. Unfortunately, he was scammed out of $900.00 by "gift card" scammers who convinced him that paying them paid for one of his bills. He is now short on rent and doesn't know what to do. He has gotten his 3 day notice to vacate and is working with all the local churches and Helping Hands Healing Hearts to collect pledges (so far, HHHH pledged $125). His case manager is also working to help secure his social security payments to a different bank so that none of his information or money can be traced back from the scammers.
