This mother of three needs help getting back on her feet. She recently got out of rehab, so she has been out of work for months. She has met with the Department of Labor and she’s been putting in resumes everywhere, but transportation has been a barrier for her. Because she's been out of work, she does not have the money for car insurance or registration which she needs to use her own car for transportation. Her registration just expired last month so she has been relying on rides from friends/neighbors. She met with a Resource Specialist who is helping her sign-up for programs that will help reduce her monthly costs and increase her chances of success. Having transportation is going to be essential for her to get back on her feet so she can take care of her children and not fall back into the same patterns of the past that she doesn't want to repeat. The Resource Specialist helped her find minimum liability through a local broker for 6 months and her registration would be for 1 year. The insurance is $326 for 6 months and the registration is $59.55 for one year.
