This mom and her teenage daughter are currently homeless, living in their car, and need a place to stay. Over the last week, they have been working on finding a place to rent and the mom is trying to find part-time employment. They fled abuse and came here with nothing except a small trailer with a few furniture items. The mom is able to afford a small rental they found, but they live solely off of her social security at the moment. They have used all the savings she had on gas, food, and a hotel stay in order to shower. When she is able to find part-time employment and keep her SSI, they will be self-sustaining. They finally found an affordable house up in Bonners Ferry and they just need help with the deposit. The owners gave her the place to stay on good faith, on the contingency that the deposit would be followed up with soon.
