A woman needs help getting back on her feet after losing her husband
This woman lost her husband about 4 months ago and recently moved back to Sandpoint. She has been staying on a friend's property since then, but it didn’t work out and she needs to find somewhere to live long-term. She is struggling to get back on her feet financially and she has two emotional support dogs that are currently being boarded by the Better Together Animal Shelter until she can get into an apartment. Being away from her dogs is really hard on her, especially after losing her husband. She has been struggling to find long-term housing, but she finally got the opportunity to get into low-income housing. She works and she has been able to save up enough money to cover half of the deposit, but she needs help with the other half ($900). Helping Hands Healing Hearts is able to cover $150 and she has been referred to other community organizations as well. We’re hoping we can all come together to help her get into this apartment and reunite her with her fur babies, so anything helps.
