A survivor of domestic violence needs help getting safe and affordable housing

$50.00

This person was referred by Priest River Ministries for assistance with a deposit on a new apartment for her and her children. She escaped an abusive partnership back in August, and has been renting two rooms from a family friend since then. She is finally self-sufficient, completely detached financially from her ex-abuser. She works full time as a food and beverage manager, but she has struggled to save enough money for a deposit on a new place. She has an opportunity to get into an affordable apartment that only costs $1,050 a month in Priest River, and she didn't expect it to come up, so although she's been saving, she doesn't have enough saved to take advantage of this opportunity on her own. The total cost of move in is $2050, confirmed with the landlord. She has been working with PRMAFW for a long time, and they are willing to contribute $400 to her move-in costs, and she personally has $700 saved towards it. She just needs the last $950. Due to expected help from other community agencies, she just needs $250 to pay the move-in costs. She is able to be self-sustaining after this one-time assistance.

Total amount requested = $250.

You can donate $50 - $250 by changing the quantity.

Thank you SO much for any help you can provide.
