A single woman with MS needs help relocating back to California after a terrible divorce, which resulted in her being alone and having no further support in the area. Due to her very limited SSDI income and no work due to disability, it has been difficult for her to save up any money. Her divorce was finalized last month, and now she will start receiving alimony payments in addition to her disability. Her final month of rent is covered since she had put in a first/last/deposit. However, moving her storage unit and renting a UHaul will be roughly $1,300-$1,400. She is getting help from the MS Society in the amount of $500 to move and she has all of her moving assistance handled through family who is flying up to help her. At this time, the cost of gas is her biggest barrier, and it would be incredibly helpful to get any assistance toward it. She is excited to leave the past behind and move home with her loving family, where she will have extensive support. Any assistance with gas to help her get there is much appreciated.
