A man needs help keeping his water on and getting firewood for the winter

$50.00

This client is an elderly man on a fixed income. He suffered a traumatic brain injury about 15 years ago and has had some recent medical issues that have impacted his cognitive ability. His ex-wife has stepped in to help him, but she is very overwhelmed trying to keep up with her own expenses in addition to managing his. They are working with an occupational therapist and have created a cardboard printout to help them manage bills, so they are doing what they can. They are currently trying to fix unsafe tires on his car, get firewood for the winter, pay medical bills, and keep up with basic expenses. They go the the senior center and other places in town for meals since they both live on a very limited budget. They came in to the Community Resource EnVision Center desperate for help because they had a water shut off notice. We were able to pay $238.14 out of our general fund to prevent the water from being shut off, but they still owe $179.83 by October 25th to get caught up. We are also hoping to help them get some firewood for the winter, which is about $200-$250. We have referred them to other programs that might be able to help with that, but it’s not a guarantee. They could really use assistance to help them get on track.

You can donate $50 - $400 by adjusting the quantity.

Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide!
