A family with four children is struggling due to job loss
This family was caught off guard by an abrupt job termination and a long search for another job. After facing homelessness, they recently moved to Moyie Springs for a cheap rental. They have 4 children and he has applied for 30 jobs (he’s a former steelworker and has done some construction work but his most recent job ended abruptly when the contractor was having trouble getting paid so he couldn’t pay his employees anymore so he terminated them). He has gone through orientation for a new job that he will hopefully be starting in 2 weeks. During this difficult time, they need help with a past due utility bill from the last month at their rental in Moscow before they moved. They can’t get help from the local CAP (Community Action Partnership) because they moved from Moscow and Bonners Ferry CAP can’t help because it’s not a local address. Bonners Ferry CAP did help with their current rent (400.00) and the Community Thrift contributed 350.00 towards rent to catch them up after move. They have been selling off possessions as fast as they can to finance the move and pay bills etc., but they still owe for their Avista Bill and partial rent. This family just needs a little bit of assistance during a difficult time. Any help is welcome and appreciated by this family. They seem very grateful and somewhat horrified to be in the position of having to ask for assistance. Thank you so much for any help you can provide!
