A family with a 2-year-old needs help preventing eviction

$50.00
NEED MET

This family moved to a rental in Clark Fork back in August. Their move-in costs put them behind on bills and it's been hard for them to catch up. Her boyfriend is now on unemployment due to the fact that there is no work for him in his field (seasonal/construction) and she cannot work outside the home at this time due to being the primary caregiver for her 2-year-old. She said this is the first time they've rented from a property management company, and so although she's contacted her landlord multiple times, she has trouble getting a hold of them to discuss payment options, and when they recently paid on their rental app, the payments went toward the utility portion of the bill, not the rent portion. She's been trying to get this fixed but hasn’t been able to reach them. She has a 3-day notice to vacate, but her resource specialist e-mailed the company letting them know she was applying for services in an effort to get them to delay an eviction so she could get some assistance. She has been referred to 211, but they are not going to be able to meet her need that quickly. She went to the Salvation Army and Helping Hands Healing Hearts and got a pledge sheet, and will be going to the Catholic church next week for the remaining portion. She still owes, after pledges, a remainder of $621.
