A disabled couple on a fixed income needs help getting into affordable housing
These community members are surviving off of social security due to disability, however she works part-time doing DoorDash to supplement their fixed income. They are relocating to the low-income, subsidized Samuelson Senior Apartments and need help with initial move-in costs. They will be able to afford the rent moving forward, it's the initial deposit and first month's rent that is always difficult and puts those on a fixed income in a serious bind. They are currently living in housing that is far too expensive and unsustainable, so this will help them secure long-term, safe, and affordable housing.
