This client called seeking some last minute assistance with rent. He is on a limited budget, but has a job at a local fast food restaurant. They have three young children in the home and received a notice to vacate or pay by yesterday. They were able to get the rent covered thanks to their own contributions and Helping Hands Healing Hearts, but it left them with no money for gas. We would like to provide this family with a $50 gas card to get them by until their next paycheck comes in.
